Spend a week in a luxury home with Joan and 4-6 other students, exploring all the aspects of the raw-food lifestyle. It’s a 7-day course that has 40-48 hours of instruction (10-12 four-hour sessions) which include hands-on raw food creation. But the real benefit is what takes place all around those sessions, coming into the kitchen in the morning to check the food that’s sprouting or fermenting or dehydrating. It’s making a raw breakfast with the fellow students and talking about the revelations of the day before or anticipating what’s coming next… It’s the translation of the high-raw lifestyle into real life. It’s making sure all of the sprouting and fermenting projects are settled for the night. It’s all about seeing how simply these routines can fit into your real life.
Throughout the sessions, the mindset of creativity and pragmatism abounds, no matter what the class is about. Being in the creative/pragmatic mindset ensures that frustrations are only temporary and that satisfaction is inevitable.
Before, during and after the official 4-hour sessions, each student will have plenty of hands-on opportunities to customize their food to suit their health objectives. So if one student’s objective is eating to defeat diabetes, then that student will have low-glycemic sweeteners to play with, while another student may have the sweeteners that also serve hormonal balance or sexual vitality. It’s all about making the high-raw lifestyle work for your real life.
